I have been a licensed radio amateur since 2010 and have carried out over 1000 back-pack portable activations (SOTA/HEMA/WWFF/POTA/WCA) with over 90% of them using under 10w of power (QRP SSB). I Love operating radio outdoors and I hope share some of my experiences (past & present) here.
