The New England ARES Academy is an outgrowth of the long-running annual New Hampshire ARES Academy, held at the NH Fire Academy. Program founder Dave Colter WA1ZCN, and NH SEC Wayne Santos N1CKM (SK), along with others in the region decided to take the program to a larger audience - all six New England ARRL Sections. Initially, the plan was to do a live one-day program at the annual New England Division Convention, HamXposition, in Marlborough, MA. Then along came Covid-19, and we decided to take it virtual with live Zoom webinars. Those who couldn't make the live sessions asked us if we could post the videos somewhere for later viewing, and here we are! Thanks to the entire HamXposition staff and ARES Academy team! We're currently working to produce live seminars, webinars, and You Tube videos. If you're in New England and would like to be considered for the production team, contact wa1zcn@arrl.net.
