Torbay Amateur Radio Society was formed in 1947. The club’s membership includes foundation, intermediate and full licence holders, all bringing to the society a myriad of skills and experiences. The society also has an active Training Team, who provide both Foundation and Intermediate licence training in house. The team also plan to offer supplementary training to newly licenced operators, who sat online exams, to gain experience and confidence using their equipment. TARS hold weekly meetings on Friday evenings, starting at 19:30, feel free to pop in and have a chat. The society meets at: The Teignbridge District Scout Headquarters The Burdett Building Wolborough Street Newton Abbot TQ12 1LJ
